Once upon a time, there is a little boy named Iddin. He likes to eat cucur pisang (cekodok), Each time his grand-auntie fetches him from school, he will ask her to buy him 'the ball-like-kueh-on-a stick like satay'. One grand-auntie would go all over the town to look for one just to fulfil his wish. Another grand-auntie, Nek Ngah, will never cater for his fancy, giving all sorts of excuses, "Tomorrow maybe" or "I'll make some for you". But it never happens.
One evening, this Nek Ngah, saw 6 tiny pisang emas hanging at the grill in the kitchen window. She said, "Aha... I'll surprise Iddin with some cekodok." So she quickly mashed the bananas, added some flour and deep-fried the mixture .. tiny ball by tiny ball. Then she took the satay sticks and it was all done and arranged them nicely on a plate.
Nek Ngah was so excited. She said, approaching Iddin who was lying on the couch before the TV, "Hi Iddin .... Surprise ..... here's something you like ......... Oh heck, he's asleep!"
