NAPKIN DECOUPAGE

Hi there!

The Puteri had been in hibernation for some time. Hopefully she's awake now!
Well, I'd like to share a fascinating, yet simple craft I recently came across. All you need is some special decoupage medium, golden liner for glass painting, a pair of scissors and a brush. Then you will need to get some pretty paper napkins and a base to put the image on.
First get the image you like and cut it out.

Then place the cutting on a smooth surface - can be ceramic, tile, glass, plastic or even wood. Use the brush, dip it in water and dab it on the image. The idea is to stick the very thin paper on the base. After that, apply the decoupage medium with the brush onto the image VERY carefully in case you tear the paper. Wait for it to dry and apply the second coating of medium.

Let it dry for a while. Then using the gold liner, outline your design to enhance it.

You can sign your masterpiece using the liner to make it personal. Voila ! Below, a few of my creations, it's so easy . . . . you try it! Have fun!

Hi p2p! Thanks for popping by. I opened your blog and was glad to read about the additional information. However, I found it hard to find the special napkin decoupage medium and the gold liner at the local stores. Maybe i'll just substitute with the clear PVA as the medium. Thanks again for visiting.
