Nostalgia
Hello . . who are these people . . where is this place?. . . and who is this young hero in his toot-toot? Where is this ?
Place where we climbed, swing, slide, what else, merry-go-round, see-saw. Rushed and fought for the swing, etc. learned to cycle, played catch and other children's game. Sunday evenings,a group of christian 'nasyid' singers had their 'dakwah' activity @ one corner of the field. There was also the 'sotong' man, ice-cream 'potong' man. That little boy supposed to be 'Hang Tuah' was driving a red car.We REALLY enjoyed ourselves at this place once a CHILDRENS' PLAYGROUND, just one door away from our house in town, Riverside. Did I miss anything?
Top picture:(back row from the left)Shariff Jambang(arwah), Pak Cik Ghaffar. Front row, from left, Aid carrying Kani, next to her is Che Nen(covering her face from the sun, i think) Back ground was once the Padang Nyiru, with a row of shops Remember Mee Odong kedai Pak Sulaiman, the first two shops to the left. Masa tu , punyanya terror.
Ah yes, we also could rent 'cars' that had pedals from (pedalled cars?)from a nearby bicycle shop and pedalled round the Padang Nyiru. We had so much fun actually. Enough ah puteri?
