Just returned from the Health Clinic at Ayer Keroh to have my blood sample taken to be analysed, the usual routine. However, I must comment about the young nurse (must be a trainee or a green-horn). First she pierced the needle on my left arm. Hmm. . she said, couldn't get the blood vein, that was after 60 long seconds of poking and pressing here and there. Let's try the right arm, she said. So I gave her my right arm. Again she pierced the needle. Again 60 looong seconds later, "Makcik, Makcik dah tua, urat Makcik dah kecut, susah nak dapat urat lah", she jested. (Auntie, you are old. Your blood vein has shrunk, difficult to get the vein). Oh my, How could she say that? How could she say I AM OLD? Yes, I realised my number is aplenty but to call me OLD? Then she had to call a Senior nurse for help. In a jiffy, it was all over. What an experience!
