My sis and I went to the Central Market this morning to have breakfast at the Food Court. Passing by the many stalls there, I was enthralled by the variety of local greens and fruits being sold, most of which I do not know the names! This is hardly surprising because I'm not one who spends time in the kitchen. Some of the veggies to me taste bitter and have a strong pungent smell like the "petai" and "jering". I stay away from them but I am told they have medicinal values. Well . . . I'll take some other medicine!
I liked the colours, shapes and forms of what I saw. So I recorded them here, much to the amusement of the sellers at the market ("What is this old lady trying to do with her camera?") Maybe someone out there can enlighten me as to the names of some of the vegetables? OK here goes . . .

Some of the vegetables . . .
There's the petai and jering, bunga kantan and . . .

Now, these fruits I like!
