THE NOSTALGIA CONTINUES . . .

My 'adopted' family in Long Island loved giving presents, for whatever occasion. Especially during birthdays and Christmases. An interesting fact I found fascinating was if the present you received was not to your taste or liking, you could exchange it at the store where it was bought and the giver would not feel 'hurt' at all. In fact it was encouraged!
The Bradleys with the little pillow I sewed for them one Christmas.

I received many presents during the two Christmases I was there. Not only material things like books, sweaters and the like but trips to Manhattan to watch shows like "The Nutcracker Suite Ballet", Christmas shows at Radio Music City famous for the 'Rockettes' or visits to the Museums.

I must thank the Bradley family for making my stay in USA both memorable and nostalgic. They had welcomed me as one of the family whereby I learnt a lot about their custom and they mine, thus enriching my life. Thank you.
