About the 2 days one night thing

Well, in earlier posting I mentioned that I'd write about it later, didn't I? Much has been written here sekilau 1 with lots of pictures. It was a great place for get-away especially for families with young children. I'm talking about "The Legend International Water Homes" at Port Dickson, about 2 1/2 hours drive from Melaka i.e. if there's no heavy traffic.

The two young ones in the family took the two not-so-young ones (my sis & I) for a short get-away during the recent Chinese New Year holidays. It was a big surprise for me because I've never been to an exclusive (and pricy!) resort before, here in Malaysia. Upon entering the villa, I was struck by its luxury and spaciousness.

What made it more interesting was a private pool and patio right outside the kitchen area. The 3 grand kids had been to this place before. So they excitedly showed me around and enticed me into frolicing in the pool with them the very moment we arrived. Without a moment to lose, very soon I dipped my feet into the welcoming, rippling water. No sooner when I was knee deep, I shivered . . . brrrr . . it was COLD! Out I crawled out of the water. No thank you, I'll just sit at the patio and enjoy my lunch.

Amal, the water baby ("I don't care even if I have a temperature!")

And another interesting feature was a square glass panel in the middle of the living area where you can see the sea below. We scrutinized to see whether we could detect any fish. Unfortunately, none.
Little Iddin looking through the glass 'window'.

Well, I had a very enjoyable stay at the resort despite not making full use of the pool. Children these days are very lucky because with the financial status of the parents, they are taken to wonderful places. I should not complain though. When my sis and I were young, Father would take us for holidays to Singapore by bus. That was a great treat then. Or during weekends, he would take us to Muar, experiencing crossing the vast Muar River via ferry, vehicles and all. Or several times, he would take us for pony cart rides from town to the hospital, about 3 km away. Those were the days . . . .
