It's still the first week of Syawal People are still celebrating the festive occasion, visiting relatives and friends far and near. Each time there is a festival, the urbanites would travel to 'balik kampong' ( lit. to return home to the village) to be with the old folks and relatives for the celebration. Those without a kampong will enjoy the peace and quiet in the towns sans traffic jam and the constant mad rush. Thus I had several of my relatives come a-visiting from Kuala Lumpur. It was great to be appreciated and remembered.

Nazli, Selamat Hari Raya. BTW tak balik Kampong ke. Take care.
Nazli,
Now I know the translation of "balik kampong". Thanks. I guess one could say we "balik kampong" over here later on, at Thanksgiving in November.
The expressions on the children's faces are precious.
Pak Idrus, assalamalaikum.

Hi Louis,
Good to note you & Pak Idrus - 2 good cyber pals visiting here.
Well, seems like EVERYBODY likes to 'balik kampong'. Guess it's the excitement of being with one's clan once in a blue moon.
Children always make one happy. Bless them!
