Me Choir Girl

It was in 1975 when I was teaching in the Teachers' College in Kuala Lumpur. Occasion - The National Quran Reading competition held at Stadium Merdeka. Watching the 51st International Quran Reading Competition on TV last night brought to mind the time I was a choir girl, joining the student teachers singing religious, motivational songs during intermission. I was young and inquisitive. How did it feel to be part of the choir? Well, it took a lot of my time for practices but I remember feeling young at heart when I joined the rest of the group. At least I can say now, I did involve myself in this prestigous competition albeit in a teeny-weeny way - A Chorus Girl.

1975 - Choir with En. Nadzri Ahmad, our Music Lecturer cum Conductor.

In another change of costume. Can you spot the young me?

Hi Naz,

Kak N,
I've been trying to find CC on Youtube (in case ada hamba Allah yang upload kat situ) to show to my kids tapi so far tak ada lah.
Masa late 70s tu Kak N and Kak Yong lah heroin poojaan hatikoo (to be pronounced like Ahmad Nisfu!). Believe it or not, I can still sing the opening song. Punyalah fanatik! :P

Naz,

Ya lah. Rancangan kanak-kanak dulu-dulu tak lah dianggap penting.

I did tape the recordings on the old Video tape but after a while they got mouldy and couldn't be saved. So sad lah.

You are standing 3 from the left.I can still remember you as you taught me arts & crafts in form 2B. I don't think you can remember me. Here's my link http://www.uncletom56.blogspot.com/ and I am sitting on the right most next to Cikgu Nawawi. Hope that will freshen up you memory.
